Turquoise Glow

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its orange stem is very thick, and the huge, gray leaves are asymmetrical with jagged edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Dozens of tiny flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 15 cm (5.9 inches) wide, with petals that are turquoise at the sides and florescent blue at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like varnish, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.


It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
