Bronze Petal

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its pink-red stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 5 and are wispy and straight, and split into many branching stems at the base, and the small, orange leaves are finger-like with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Dozens of small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of bronze. The flower head is largely flat with 41 tightly layered narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like cheap aftershave, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
