Brown Moor Moss

Moss type: Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, On trees, and In heathlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very resistant.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores.

It is suitable for making paper
It can flourish even in standing water.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
