Burgundy Bine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 468 feet (142.6 meters) and growing as high as 40 feet (12.2 meters).

It takes 4 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1.7 feet (51 cm) and are tough and woody.

The spear shaped, smooth leaves reach up to 2.5 feet (76 cm) in length. They are cream on the edges and amber at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces lots of large bronze flowers.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The sap is silver.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
