Clinging Scarlet Petal

This huge flower grows up to 12.2 feet (3.7 meters) tall. Its red stems grow in bunches of 3 and are very thick and straight, and the large, yellow and silver leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

2 to 8 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 140 cm (55.1 inches) wide, with azure petals on the lower layer and red petals decorated with peach dots on the inner layer. The central disk is bronze. The flower head is made up of 12 petals in raised layers. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like garlic, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
