Silver Spike

This big cactus grows up to 89 feet (27.1 meters) tall. The tapering stem is gray-green, and is covered in brittle silver spines. The wedge-shaped body is gray, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible silver spines.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid caramel petals decorated with pink dots and a black central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a faint scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The cactus's skin is tough, the lime flesh is leathery, and the blood red sap is thin.
