Bloodvine

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. It splits near the top to form 2 tapering stems. Each stem is olive or blood red, and is covered in thousands of rigid yellow spines. The cuboid body is emerald, and is covered in thousands of rigid yellow spines.

It is slow growing, taking 46 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with blue petals and a gold central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 47 raised, round-tipped petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like paint.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the light orange flesh is rubbery, and the cream sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
Several parts of the fruit tree have medicinal properties.
The sap is white.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
