Azurevine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big fruit tree grows up to 45 feet (13.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, crooked trunk covered in paper-thin, waxy, dark brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy.

The sparse amount of branches are very short and thick and are covered with large amounts of miniature, perforated leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are dark brown on the edges and azure at the center.

In early spring, it produces several small, lime blossoms with heart-shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have an intensely strong scent that smells like ashes.

In mid-autumn it produces , teardrop-shaped fruit. The sticky dark brown skin is delicate and inedible, and the crunchy purple flesh is sweet and very dry. The brown seeds are large and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

All parts of the grass are edible.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
