Violetvine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 740 feet (225.6 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.
It takes 2 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are hard and brittle.
The pleated, clammy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are a shade of orange-yellow that gradient shifts to grey at the top, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the vine produces many giant violet flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of small fruits.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
