Crimson Puffgrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are prone to bending and snapping under stress.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, vivid red puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.

It can survive a long time without water.
It is suitable for making paper
It comes in 6 varieties.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
