Amber

This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and growing as high as 104 feet (31.7 meters).

It takes 5 months for the muted yellow and brown stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are hard and brittle.

The shield-shaped, waxy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are found in amber and violet varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many tiny beige flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of tiny seed pods.
