Violet

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The wide stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The crooked, olive trunk can grow to as much as 4 feet (1.2 meters) in diameter in the middle. Its emerald branches trail down to the ground and start growing a quarter of the way up the stem.

The thick bunches of smooth-edged, perforated leaves are solid violet with indigo dots. They are strong, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either grey or peach, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like citrus.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the black flesh is rough, and the amber sap is thin.
