Brown Puffgrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This big, brown grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The wide stalks grow in small clumps that are sturdy and flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, light grey puff.
During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
