Crimson Creeper

This small creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 21 feet (6.4 meters) and growing as high as 392 feet (119.5 meters).

It takes 4 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The slender, pointed, waxy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are found in red, brown and intense green varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a thick sheet of tiny black flowers.
