Bronzepetal

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its gray stems grow in bunches of 7 and are very thin and straight, and the small, red leaves are stiff, pointed with wavy edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Lots of small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of bronze. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a powerful scent that smells like a newborn baby, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
