Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 35 feet (10.7 meters) and growing as high as 88 feet (26.8 meters).

It takes 19 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The stiff, pointed, leathery leaves reach up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) in length. They are either light brown or hazel, with slate dots, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thousands of large lime flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of small seed pods.

It blooms only at night.
