Sunset Glow
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are thick and straight, and split into numerous branching stems at the base, and the miniature, crimson leaves are long, narrow with jagged edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
Dozens of giant flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with alternating petals of gentle orange and cyan, with a white central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 31 curved petals. They are very delicate.
It has an intense scent that smells like lemon, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
It is suitable for making strong rope
