Burgundy Creeper

This colossal creeper is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 779 feet (237.4 meters) and growing as high as 406 feet (123.7 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 2 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2.7 feet (81 cm) and are rough and fibrous.

The broad, flat, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2.3 feet (69 cm) in length. They are pastel green at the bottom and green with ashy red lines at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces many bunches of large crimson flowers.
