Flower type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 3 and are thick with a curved tip, and the tiny, bronze leaves are dark gray on the underside and are thick with toothed edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with beige petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. They detach easily.
It has a faint scent that smells like new carpet, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
