Caramel Petal

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 3 and are thin with a curved tip, and the small, caramel or drab yellow leaves are slender, pointed with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Each stem splits 3 to 8 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are caramel on the underside and grey on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 50 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like citrus, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
