Burgundy Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 49 feet (14.9 meters) and growing as high as 523 feet (159.4 meters).

It takes 3 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and woody.

The oblong, sticky leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are dark brown on the edges and hazel at the center, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces copious amounts of colossal lilac flowers.

It is very resistant to fire damage.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
