Crimson Bush

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 183 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several thick, straight stems covered in waxy, brown bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are long and thick that and are covered with handfuls of large, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are lime green with vibrant green tips, light and rough.

In early spring it produces dozens of tiny, deep red flowers with circular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like damp.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
