Copperactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 2 tapering stems. Each stem is copper, and is covered in thousands of flexible caramel spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with cyan petals that gradient shift to blue on the outer edge. The central disk is vibrant red grows at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 12 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the light grey flesh is slimy, and the lime sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.

It is suitable for making strong rope
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
