Bloodvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 299 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale yellow.

The abundance of branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of sticky, tiny, broad, flat leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid peach or magenta, with gentle red zig-zags.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of tiny, green blossoms with 2 circular shaped petals. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like blood.

In late summer it forms large, red, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.

The sap is azure.
