Speckled

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 374 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in thin, ridged, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is pale brown.

The branches are long and thick and are covered with handfuls of covered in fine hairs, small, thick leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are deep purple on the sides and gentle red at the center.

In late summer it forms large, cream, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
