Copper Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,073 feet (327.1 meters) and growing as high as 889 feet (271.0 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 26 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.8 feet (56 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The wispy, smooth leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are solid green with slate streaks, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of average silver flowers.
