Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short, gray grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are delicate and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, olive puff.
During the mid-autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of small grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
