Copperflower

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This huge flower grows up to 13.7 feet (4.2 meters) tall. Its copper stem is very thin, and the small, pale blue leaves are slender, pointed with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Each stem splits 4 to 6 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 22 cm (8.7 inches) wide, with cyan petals on the lower layer and aquamarine petals decorated with yellow dots on the inner layer. The central disk is black. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. They detach easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like musk, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a variety of insects.

A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
