Amberfern

This massive shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 47 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many knobbly, twisting stems covered in rough, light brown bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, broad, flat, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in amber and turquoise varieties, durable and rough.

In mid-spring it produces hundreds of medium-sized, copper blossoms with V-shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like honeysuckle.

In late autumn needle-like fruits ripen. The soft purple skin is thin and edible when roasted; it is bitter and spicy, and the very soft indigo flesh is overwhelmingly salty and very juicy. The dark red seed is very large and sits at the end of the fruit.
