Cyanbark

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This large shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 33 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous slender, wonky stems covered in delicate, smooth, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are short and thin that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, circular, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are generally faded yellow, durable and covered in fine hairs.

In early spring it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, cyan flowers with 8 shield-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have the faintest scent that smells like musk.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
