Copperbell

This small caudiciform grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The pleated stem is copper, and is dotted with small silver spines. It has a straight, very thick, grey trunk atop a very thick stilted platform of cracked, exposed roots. The branches are flat and lime and are short, rigid and upright.

The rounded-edged, asymmetrical leaves are a shade of light brown that gradient shifts to grey at the top. They are flimsy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 15 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with caramel petals on the lower layer and light grey petals decorated with silver dots on the inner layer. The central disk is beige grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a powerful scent that smells like perfume.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the florescent orange flesh is sticky, and the gentle green sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
