Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)This big, yellow-green grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The very thick stalks grow in sparse patches that are resistant and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blood red tuft.
During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of medium-sized grains.
It comes in 31 varieties.
