Burgundy Daisy

Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. Its moss green stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 5 and are very thick and straight, and split into dozens of branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the small, burgundy leaves are light gray-green on the underside and are wispy with ripped edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Several medium-sized flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with lime petals and a light grey central disk. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like a newborn baby, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
