Copper

This short caudiciform grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The tapering stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in brittle hazel spines. It has a wavy, wide, blood red trunk atop a flat clump of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are thick and dark brown or hazel and trail down towards the ground.

The irregular-edged, sickle shaped leaves are copper and indigo. They are resistant, and easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 22 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are either silver or slate, with a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 36 raised, round-tipped petals. It has an intense scent that smells like cotton.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the caramel flesh is leathery, and the gold sap is thin.
