Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is overwhelmingly hardy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
