Copperflower

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) tall. Its copper stem is wispy, and the tiny, blood red leaves are dark emerald on the underside and are asymmetrical with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Dozens of giant flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with gold petals and a lime central disk. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like faeces, and it has excessive amounts of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to bees.

It can survive a very long time without water.
