Aquamarine Fernbloom

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 64 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several stocky, crooked stems covered in fine, wrinkled, black bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright that and are covered with handfuls of small, umbrella-shaped, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either aquamarine, or cream with gold dots, frail and covered in fine hairs.

In mid-spring it produces lots of medium-sized, blue flowers with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like coconut.
