Purple Vine

This huge vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,585 feet (787.9 meters) and growing as high as 732 feet (223.1 meters).

It takes 34 years for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4.5 feet (1.4 meters) and are rough and fibrous.

The broad, flat, rough leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are either grey, or purple with silver splotches, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the vine produces large amounts of colossal ashy purple flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of large berries.
