Burgundyfern
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 179 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, straight trunk covered in cracked, burgundy bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is burgundy-brown.
The small handful of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with large amounts of rough, small, wispy leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are solid copper with amber dots.
In early spring, it produces many clusters of medium-sized, beige blossoms with needle-like petals. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like pine needles.
In late summer it forms large, aquamarine berries.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It is suitable for making paper
