Caramel

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 44 feet (13.4 meters) tall. The wispy stem is green, and is dotted with small lime spines. The smooth-edged, thick leaves are caramel and dark brown. Copious amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are resilient, but easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 46 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid light grey petals decorated with aquamarine lines and a olive central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 39 curved petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like warm cookies.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the ashy red flesh is waxy, and the violet sap is thin.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It can survive a long time without water.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
