Copper
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 38 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, twisting trunk covered in thin, smooth, brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black with white speckles.
The small bunches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with small amounts of giant, thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are copper with cyan tips.
In early spring, it produces a handful of small, violet blossoms with V-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a faint scent that smells like leather.
In early summer it produces large, circular fruit. The sticky brilliant orange skin is thick and edible when boiled; it is sweet and sour, and the very soft bronze flesh is sweet and very dry. The blood red seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
