Indigo Vine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 13 feet (4.0 meters) and growing as high as 444 feet (135.3 meters).

It takes 4 months for the cream stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The finger-like, crispy leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are generally indigo, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several small white flowers.

It can survive a long time without water.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
