Copperleaf Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges, In moorlands, and On rotten logs.
It is large, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely resistant.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
