Silvervine

This huge vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,510 feet (765.0 meters) and growing as high as 196 feet (59.7 meters).

It takes 46 years for the yellow or drab green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 4.6 feet (1.4 meters) and are thick and twisted.

The slender, pointed, clammy leaves reach up to 2.5 feet (76 cm) in length. They are found in blue and pastel orange varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of average silver flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few small seed pods.
