Bluebrush

Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 50 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of wide, straight stems covered in paper-thin, silky, light gray bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches are very short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, slender, pointed, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are blue and vibrant blue, sturdy and fuzzy.

It produces a thick sheet of tiny, lilac flowers with spiral shaped petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like blood. In early summer it forms smallgold, tough-shelled seeds.

It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
