Crimsonactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This giant cactus grows up to 144 feet (43.9 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 5 very thin stems. Each stem is slate and yellow-green, and is covered in thousands of flexible subtle orange spines. The round body is moss green, and is covered in dozens of rigid blood red spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are vivid yellow on the underside and purple on the top grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet made up of 14 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the faded green flesh is waxy, and the peach sap is thin.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
