Crimson Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 28 feet (8.5 meters) and growing as high as 129 feet (39.3 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 5 years for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The needle-like, leathery leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) in length. They are found in lime, indigo and drab red varieties, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the vine produces dozens of small violet flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large fruits.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
