Coppervine

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 13 feet (4.0 meters)0.

It takes 4 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and prickly.

The broad, flat, rough leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are found in slate, pink and copper varieties, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces balls of colossal vivid purple flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of small fruits.
