Purple Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 303 feet (92.4 meters) and growing as high as 140 feet (42.7 meters).

It takes 6 months for the bold green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The wispy, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) in length. They are either vivid purple, or magenta with blue lines, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a thick sheet of average pastel orange flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of small fruits.


It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
