Copper

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its copper stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, turquoise leaves are sickle shaped with ripped edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with brown petals and a vivid purple central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. They detach easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like new carpet, and it has excessive amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.

The sap is edible and extremely bitter.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
